Metallic shades and textures are very hot this season on runways all across the globe. Designer Babita M recently showcased her Metallurgy collection in Mumbai, Dubai and New York. The line used copper and copper tones as the core color, keeping in mind the upcoming festive season.

Copper is fast emerging as a versatile and creative element. Many designers are using the metal in accessories, embroideries and apparel embillishments. The rising popularity of copper on the runways can be attributed to its rich, sensuous appeal and easy wearability. Stark siver and gold now appear to be passe as designers veer towards dull-gold and bronze hues. Copper tones compliment all body types and skin colors.
