A charity fashion event in Chicago has roped in women of all ages from St. Mary’s Parish in Buffalo Grove to showcase their wedding dresses on the ramp. The event is christened “Something Old, Something New” and is primarily a fundraising event. Celebrity guests like Jen Schefft, Bruce Wolf and Kathy Hart will also model in their wedding attires.
The fact that women from all generations will be participating in the fashion show makes the event very special. The two-day long program also features dancing, cocktails, luncheon, dinners and a musical performance by the Ralph Wilder Orchestra. A raffle round will be organized by The Women’s Club.
The models will walk in their wedding gowns with their wedding clips flashing in the background. An Indian bridal outfit and a gown that featured in the 1952 issue of “Modern Bride” are expected to be the show highlights. Teens and high school girls will walk the ramp in formal gowns and evening wear.
