Temperatures at Miami Beach, Florida soared high as models paraded down the ramp in Victoria’s Secret brand new collection. The fashion show coincided with the grand re-opening of the venue, Fountainbleau Miami Beach and was kick-started by a star performance by Usher.
The 68-piece collection was showcased by 35 super-models including Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. The outfits were a celebration of glamor but the $5 million Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra by Martin Katz was the show-stealer. The runway was adorned with two dazzling palm trees that complemented the bold patterns and designs on the outfits. Pinks, pastels, florals and black ties were other elements of the theme.
Swarovski studded bras, golden sculpted feather body piece and sculpted metal accessories, draped gowns in silk and translucent fabrics were the major highlights of the show. The collection also included a crystal yarn, knitted catsuit with leather belt and boots by Pierre Hardy. Other interesting creations included a jacket made from recycled plastic bag, a quilted velvet corset with ostrich feathers and butterfly wings and spiderwebs made of crystals which were meant to lend a “theatrical quality” to the event.
Celeb guests at the event included P. Diddy, Russell Simmons, Michelle Trachtenberg, John Stamos, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Martha Stewart.
